When people visit Busch Gardens Williamsburg they fall in the beauty of the landscaping, they fun filled atmosphere, and of course the taste for thrills. Busch Gardens Williamsburg has been voted the number one theme park several times, and is rightfully so because when you see Busch Gardens Williamsburg for the first time you fall in love with the landscaping and atmosphere. This park is truly a place where people of all ages can have a day of fun.

Recently I had a chance to chat with Cindy the Public Relations Director of Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

Clint: Clint Novak of In the Loop, I've got Cindy Public Relations Director at Busch Gardens with us also is Cecil the creative mastermind behind Curse of Dark Castle. How you guys doing today?

PR: Fantastic thanks for having us today!

Clint: Alright, first thing we want to know about is how is the construction going for Curse of Dark Castle?

PR: Well we are right on schedule, February 2004 we started construction on Curse of Dark Castle the Ride which is in Oktoberfest section of the park, the German section of Busch Gardens Williamsburg. We have constructed a 40,000 square foot building, near the festhouse, which I am sure that all of your fans out there know where I am talking about. I am happy to say we are on schedule to open Curse of DarKastle on April 30th.

Clint: Alright now, how is the Curse of Dark Castle going to fit in with the theme of the area?

PR: Well, Clint, Cicil can get into that a little more in just a few minutes, but again it is in the German section of the park in Oktoberfest and the theme of the attraction is of a Bavarian castle frozen in time. So it fits absolutely perfectly with the theme of not only Busch gardens Williamsburg but also with the German theme in the area.

Clint: Did anything have to be removed or relocated to build Curse of DarKastle.

PR: The wild mouse ride, we took it down and gave it to our sister park in Busch Gardens Tampa and it is currently being run in Busch Gardens Tampa, we are currently sharing the wealth of our rides here with them.. Curse of Dark castle construction started after that ride was removed.

Clint: I think I speak for all of coaster fans, don't give up Apollo's Chariot to any other theme parks.

PR: Don't worry about that, the ride is as close to my heart as well as Alpengiest, which is my favorite.

Clint: Oh, I love that ride myself. That's a great ride, Do you guys have any other plans for the 2005 season for the coaster junkies.

PR: Well of course you have all of the old time favorites like Loch Ness Monster, Big Bad Wolf, Alpengiest, Apollo's Chariot, there will be a new restaurant/merchandise area by Curse of DarKastle. Over where the Oktoberfest gifts used to be, that will be brand new. I think the really big news, Clint, for the year is Curse of DarKastle the ride, we can not wait for this ride to open, it is going to smash the limits of technology and I think people are going to be very pleasantly surprised. And the ride is going to be very repeatable. You are going to want to go on several times. You are going to ride it one time and miss things. There is so much happening you will have to ride it over and over again.

Clint: One thing I hate to point out is, but I don't want anyone to be misinformed. The park opens in March and the ride opens in a month later.

PR: Yes that is correct; the park opens for its 30th year on March 19th. Then the ride Curse of DarKastle opens April 30th.

Clint: Alrighty so if you are planning to hit the park early, make sure you hit it after April 30th.
