Ferrari World Abu Dhabi! Just the mention of the name embodies speed of the Ferrari brand. Sleek, stylish, and fast vehicles built to be the best of the best. That same creed goes for the supreme thrills only found at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. Coasters like Formula Rossa take riders by an auto themed coaster, but Flying Aces takes riders into the sky. Flying Aces, an Intamin Wing Coaster, takes on the Ferrari World by storm as it mimics the feeling of being in a biplane and the thrills that go alongside with it. Do you dare to fly on this coaster?
Flying Aces begins riders with a quick 206.7 foot ascent up the lift hill and into the first drop. Reaching breath taking speeds up to 74.6 miles per hour, riders flare out with a curve right into a small trench leading into the iconic Non Inverting Loop element. Riders then dive into another small trench and out into a wave turn to the right. As the coaster continues on it’s flight, riders dive into an airtime hill followed by a curved upward hill. Diving back down, riders are hit with another air time moment followed by a low to the ground curve left. This serves as a transition from the larger elements into smaller elements of the coaster as Flying Aces rises and drops yet again into an inclined turn. Followed by a wave turn element, riders swoop to the right into an incline, leading into another curve. An Heartline Roll into an extended right turn serves as an interaction with the main complex as it goes under the shelter. Riders finish out the ride with a few small curves and back into the brake run. Flying Aces, in the quest to make riders feel like they are flying, has the Wing Coaster trains so that two seats of each car sit on the outside of the track creating a flying effect throughout the ride.
