Though no new rides adorn Knotts for 2012, there is plenty of new food abound.
Knott's has well been know for food. They are one of the only, if not the only park to be built around a food business. Whether it's their jelly, jams and preserves, or even their Chicken Dinner Restaurant which opened in 1940, food has been a premier item in the park along side their rides.

The park has decided to step it up even further. Many will recall that Kings Island, another park in the Cedar Fair chain, upgraded food items for 2012. Knott's decided to follow suit in introducing new gourmet dishes as well as healthier items. The healthier items include fruits and vegetables, salads, never-frozen burgers, and gluten free items. Freshly-squeezed lemonade has also been added.

The gourmet items seem to be Knott's big push to draw in guests. The most elaborate item is a flank steak sandwich with a jalapeno bun, for which the steak is marinated for 24 hours. Chicken wraps, steak and chicken kebab sandwiches, and ribs slow cooked for 11 hours round out the line up. One new dessert item has been dubbed, the 'cookiewich', which consists of 2 giant chocolate chip cookies with a slab of ice cream wedged in between.
