EPCOT, Lake Buena Vista, FL, USA - Yesterday, the fireworks show got a headstart at EPCOT in Florida. The inferno barge, which is where many of the fireworks launch for the parks Illuminations special effects show, exploded in the World Showcase Lagoon. The sounds of the explosion could be heard all around the park.Illuminations is a daily nighttime fireworks show, and is rated among the best in the country. The inferno barge sits in the middle of the lagoon away from park guests, but during the show there are two cast members that sit on the barge. No injuries have been reported yet from this incident.
