Rumors have been spreading for a while that Disney is looking to build their next theme park in China, India, or South Korea- yet the next Disney park may not even be in the western hemisphere.

According to the Brazilian newspaper journal De Brasilia the Brazilian government is in negotiations with Disney to build the first theme park in Latin America.

The government of Brazil’s Distrito Federal, a tiny part of the country which contains Brasilia, or the capitol of Brazil, has offered Disney a 432-acre plot of land which is currently a nature reserve; however, the act which designated the area as a nature reserve also stated it could be used as an amusement park.

According to De Brasilia, Disney has “responded positively” to the deal which would lease them 432 acres of land for 30 years.
