The Ultimate Disney Christmas Package — featuring special holiday events, park-hopper tickets and hotel rooms — is still on sale for Walt Disney World. The deal has specific travel parameters: Dec. 21-26, 2019. Among the package elements are Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom on Dec. 22; an exclusive fireworks viewing area at Epcot one night for the upcoming “Epcot Forever” show; nighttime access to the two Pandora rides and Expedition Everest roller coaster at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on Dec. 23; a five-night hotel stay and four-day theme park tickets. The price varies according to the level of Walt Disney World hotel selected. For instance, Disney says that it costs $199 per person, per night, for those staying at Coronado Springs; but it’s $345 per person, per night, if staying at the soon-to-open Riviera Resort. Outgoing CEO Gustavo Antorcha said he was leaving "due to disagreements over the Board's involvement in the decision making at the company," according to SeaWorld's SEC filing. Shares of SeaWorld tumbled as much as 7% on the news. "While I may have a difference of approach, I continue to believe in SeaWorld's strategy, mission, team and prospects," Antorcha said in a statement from the company. The vast AV infrastructure is used to broadcast Cedar Fair’s digital signage content which can be seen in ride queue areas throughout the parks. The content, which is focused on entertaining guests, includes a wide variety of content types including long-form videos, text-to-win campaigns, data visualization around ride wait times and paid advertising placements, all of which runs on the Reflect ReflectView CMS platform via BrightSign’s Series 4 XT media players. Kings Island's Halloween Haunt is gearing up to be your worst nightmare.This year the park is debuting five new haunted attractions- International Street Fear, Shipwrecked, Rivertown Reaping, Zombie Mall and Drums of the Dead. The park will feature nine haunted mazes, seven scare zones, three live stages shows and include hundreds of creepy clowns, vampire, zombies and many other more monsters of the night. The state attorney’s office has formally filed felony charges in a bizarre case that’s captivated Disney enthusiasts and reveals a deeper look into the lucrative black market for exclusive collector items at Disney World. Authorities have accused ex-Disney employee Patricks Spikes and his cousin, Blaytin Taunton, of sneaking into the Magic Kingdom and stealing costumes and wigs worth $7,200 from the Haunted Mansion while the ride was still running with visitors. This weekend was the opening of Scarowinds, when Carowinds transforms into a spooky playground full of haunted houses after regular park hours. But some people who turned out over the weekend say the park was out of control with crowds stirring up violence. WBTV received several complaints from people who feared for their safety. Teran Armstrong says she turns out for Scarowinds every year that she can. It’s the place she chose for one of the biggest days of her life. “Three years ago my husband and I actually got married there,” Armstrong said. “We won a contest on the radio.” Saturday night they got a babysitter and headed to the park to celebrate their anniversary, but romance turned to violence. “I saw a swarm of about 100 people take off running, and of course nowadays when you see a swarm like that you go into panic,” Armstrong said. The cause of the commotion was a fight between kids. It’s the latest seasonal update for the hit theme park management sim, and it sounds like a frightfully good time.
Fans will know that Fright Fest follows on from the earlier Easter and Valentine’s Day updates. According to the trailer, the latest Six Flags crossover brings “the thrills of Six Flags and the horror of Fright Fest to your park”. You’ll now have access to Six Flags’ famous Skull Mountain ride, which for many will likely be the update’s real highlight. It was all part of the job: We were there to see the newest attraction at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom’s Halloween Haunt, The Lair. It was all part of Friday night’s media preview of Dorney Park’s annual fall events, including the popular Haunt and Monster Jam, which opened Saturday. First, we checked out a preview of Haunt, which enters its 12th season. On selected weekends through the fall, the park transforms at night into a frightening Halloween-themed scare-fest, featuring dense, rolling fog, spooky music and strolling freaks, monsters and zombies. As you walk toward the scare-zone attractions, zombies on stilts lurk around each corner as others zip out to shock you. FULL STORY |
