Knott's Berry Farm has confirmed two new additions for the 2004 season, one of which will become the Buena Park, California theme park's seventh coaster.
In early 2004, Knott's will open RipTide, a 59-foot high flat ride from Huss manufacturing replacing the park's Hammerhead spinning attraction. Hammerhead will carry a price tag of $3 million, and an additional $2 million will be spent on park improvements next year.
The park's on-site non-denominational church will be relocated across from Knott's Berry Farm, and the site formerly occupied by the church will become the home of a new steel coaster set to open in the latter part of 2004.
An official announcement with details on the steel coaster will come next year.

Dorney Park, Allentown, PA, USA 09/04/03 - By: Devin Olson -

A truely shocking development today for Dorney Park...
'The Morning Call newspaper announced today that Labor Day was to be Dorney Park's last day to run for their classic and once record holding wooden coaster, Hercules. The park announced that the coaster will be removed in
order to make room for their 2005 project which they have confirmed will be a Bolliger and Mabillard floorless coaster. They also noted that the coaster will be
3,200 feet long, go under ground level five times, have a nearly three-minute long course, and cost about $13 million. Like Talon, the track will also be filled with sand to reduce the noise but no other details
have been announced about this yet-unnamed 2005 addition.'
Farewell, Hercules...
