Today, Busch Gardens Tampa unveiled a much anticipated coaster to its collection of world class thrills. SheiKra, a B&M Dive Machine, offers an intense layout, bringing it up 200 feet in the sky boasting an immelman, 2 vertical drops, and a water splash finale.
SheiKra has ended up becoming one of 2005's most anticipated coasters such as Hydra The Revenge at Dorney Park and Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure.
SheiKra is themed to an African bird and is a part of many improvements to the park's Stanleyville section. No official word is when to open in 2005, but most rumors point to May 2005.

Treasure Island Waterpark Resort and Family Land Waterpark, both owned by Jim Mattei, and Big Chief's Mt. Olympus Theme Park will merge into one entity called Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park. The owners said the merged parks (and purchased hotel) will become the largest property in the Wisconsin Dells area, offering waterslides, an amusement park, and a hotel.

Today, LEGO made it official that it is selling its chain of amusement parks worldwide. The reason behind this decision is for LEGO to focus on its core buisness, the toy industry.
Meanwhile no companies have placed bids on the parks, but LEGO is willing to negotiate plans to stay on as a partner of the park chain. LEGO operated parks in California, Denmark, England, and Germany. Most of them opening in the late 90's, one in 2002, and the other operating since 1968.

For 2005, Paramount's Carowinds will unveil a bigger and better kid's area of their park. This expansion will include a complete makeover for the Animation Station, which will receive at least 2 new rides. The park says they will be rides that children and their parents can enjoy together.
Amoung the other improvements, when all is done the park will boast a 20-acre playground for kids, 14 total rides in the area, and more than a dozen Nicktoons for the children the interact with and enjoy. Also, as many have already heard, Paramount's Carowinds will be receiving the Flying Eagles ride that will soon be removed from their sister park, Paramount's Kings Island.
Carowinds has also said that more surprises are in store for their guests, so be on the lookout for more announcements this offseason.

Holiday World has given their 2005 plans for next season! The first step is part of Holiday World & Splashin' Safari record $6.3 million expansion plan for 2005. The President of Holiday World saiad that since Splashin' Safari opened in 1993, it has been an unprecedented major hit. They will be expanding it to about double the size of it. They are to add a large wave pool and the area called Bahari, a huge themed wave pool. This wave pool will be twice the size of the wave pool added in 1994. Bahari’s six-acre expansion will include a new food outlet and a second smoking area for the water park.
Also there is going to be a new ride called Revolution will replace the Roundhouse. This is going to be a new updated ride that will feature a better ride and a higher capacity, a faster and higher spin and it will also have a great lighting package for night use as well.
There will also be many more improvments for the 2005 season and they are, second train for the Raven wooden roller coaster it will increasing capacity by approximately 70%. Karaoke added to the entertainment lineup and also a nice new firework show for July 4th and they also want to Improvements to both parks to increase capacity and comfort. Their attendance for the 2004 season is up 14 percent, and that's why Holiday World wants to improve.

The amusement park nestled in the Great Smokey Mountains has released it's plans for the redevelopment of their Country Fair section. The park will retire many of the old rides in the area in favor of new, high capacity, thrill rides. With the addition of these new ride, the park hopes to change the capacity of the section to two thousand people per hour.
The section will be updated with 10 new rides, being coined as a mix of family favorites and unique experiences. One of the new rides is a 70-foot high airplane style ride, where riders control the height of the plane they are riding in. Along with new rides, plans for new restrooms and a Baby Care center are also in the works to make guests more comfortable. Construction is to begin sometime in November and wrap up before the start of the park's 2005 operating season.
