Since 1925, San Diego, California's Belmont Park has operated and has been home to the classic Giant Dipper and has been a small park with a major draw for wooden coaster lovers. Belmont resides next to the Pacific Ocean as one of only three operating seaside parks on the west coast of the United States.

When the park closed its gates and Giant Dipper fell into disrepair in the mid-1970s, things looked bleak, but the restoration of the wooden coaster and redevelopment around it has put the California funspot back on the map.

Today, several smaller attractions have also made home at Belmont, including the Liberty Carousel and an S&S Power Frog Hopper attraction.
