2018 will bring an exciting addition to California’s Great America in the form of a brand new Raptor Track coaster from RMC. Railblazer, the coaster, is themed to an off road adventure and is complemented by rock formations and water just like any avid 4x4 driver may encounter. The ride features a single rail design, and each car carries only one rider, so guests who brave this coaster will have to do it alone.

Once the guests are loaded into their cars the train is dispatched directly onto the 106 foot tall lift hill. At the top the train takes a slight dip to gain momentum and banks to the left to turn around. The train does a quick hop up to get riders out of their seats, and then dives down the 90 degree vertical drop reaching speeds of 52 MPH as the train screams through a rock tunnel at the bottom. The train breaks into daylight and immediately climbs into the first inversion a dive loop. As it exits the train gets sent down past the station and then up into an airtime hill that ducks under the lift hill. The track twists down to the left into a rocky canyon over water. Then up to the right where it levels of with a flat turn back around to the left. The compact track twisting around itself making it difficult to know where you are heading next. The coaster dives again regaining its speed, then rising into the second inversion a cutback over the station. The pace quickens as the track turns and then rips through a corkscrew over the rock formation. The train finally negotiates an over banked turn and is flung onto the brake run and returns to the trail head. Next time you are in the Bay Area don’t miss this wild off road excursion.
