Cedar Fair hired D.H. Morgan Manufacturing to deliver their third consecutive hypercoaster since 1996 and used the out & back design once more. This time, Worlds of Fun in Kansas City, Missouri debuted the new ride as Mamba. Utilizing a very similar design to 1997's Steel Force at Allentown, Pennsylvania's Dorney Park, Mamba takes riders over five-thousand, six hundred feet of red track at speeds topping out at 75 miles an hour. But the main modifications to the Force's design are full visual first and fifth drops where Steel Force uses tunnels. But the main improvements to the Pennsylvania hypercoaster are Morgan's unique double rabbit hop toward the end of the course and a diving, swirling descent into the double-helix.

The near three-minute journey begins as one of three trains depart the station and round a slight bend before engaging on the chain lift which will soon take passengers to the peak of 205 feet above the earth. After the over 20-story summit, the 65-degree descent brings the train all the way to the ground and then riders soar up over a 156' high Camelback Hill. Next, a 10-story climb brings the ride to the turning point - a Double Helix, swirling downwards and banking towards a mid-course brake-run. On the return trip, passengers encounter a straight-out series of Rabbit Hops, the second being the double-hump. After the last hop, the train rides around an S-curve and into the brakes.

Be sure to visit Worlds of Fun to try and tame the Mamba!
