It may be the heart of the coaster season, but we're already thinking about our official 2013 COASTER-net Calendar, and we want to give you a chance to be in it! Right now, in our Official Contests forum, we're inviting everyone to submit up to three of their favorite theme park pictures that they've taken for a chance to be featured in our upcoming calendar.

Participants can enter one photo in each of three categories: Action Shots, Pictures of specific ride Elements, and Ride Layouts. A special advisory panel of staff from the site will select a winner from each of these three categories. Those three semi-finalists will then have their photographs voted on by the entire COASTER-net community to see which is the very best. The winner will have their picture featured on the cover of our 2013 COASTER-net Calendar with the runner's up each getting their pictures designated to be on of our monthly photographs.

Of course there are some ground rules to cover. All pictures have to have a file size larger than 1.5 MB and be "landscape" oriented (i.e. not vertical), so as to fit the formatting of our calendar. Also, we have a zero tolerance policy on plagiarism. All pictures must be your own property, and if we find evidence to the contrary, all of your submissions will be voided. Lastly the dates; this contest will run through the end of this month. At 11:59 PM on July 31 no more entries will be accepted and the next week will be the voting period to decided our winner.

Oh, and I almost forgot the most important part of this contest. Have fun! Go out to the parks and take some great new pictures, or go back through your photo archives and relive cherished memories from theme park trips past.
