On the site, where the race before Atlantis used to be, in the last few days the first supports for a new roller coaster were put up. As the park now announces in a video (at the end of the article), a very special Flying Coaster will be created in Rookburgh. It is not only the first Flying Coaster in Germany, it is the first Flying Coaster in the world with a launch drive! Furthermore, the roller coaster will bring another world record. The Flying Coaster will be the longest Flying Coaster in the world. Currently the longest Flying Coaster "Flying Dinosaur" is in the Universal Studios Japan with 1,124m. The name of the new track is already known: "FLY"
The manufacturer of the new roller coaster will be the Dutch company Vekoma. This has already been built in previous years Flying Coaster, but here it will be a completely new type!
GOLD COAST, AUSTRALIA
After 18 months of speculation, Warner Bros. Movie World have formally announced their roller coaster: DC Rivals HyperCoaster will open at the Gold Coast theme park in late 2017.
The ride's theme brings together DC Comics' superheroes and villains and celebrates these iconic rivalries. With a length of 1.4km and height of 61.6 metres (202ft) it will be the largest roller coaster ever built in Australia. A top speed of 115km/hr makes it the fastest traditional roller coaster in Australia.
This new coaster is the largest investment made for a roller coaster in Australia and is currently under construction with bright fuchsia track and grey supports.
One of the most unique aspects to this coaster will be its rear-facing back row. Two riders can experience the gut-wrenching roller coaster journey in reverse with a completely unobstructed view of the track. It's a feature never found before on a roller coaster of this scale.
