A California federal judge approved a $65 million settlement for investors who said SeaWorld had misled them over how much the documentary “Blackfish” hurt the company financially.
The agreement, previously disclosed in a SEC filing in February, marked the end of a six-year legal battle between Orlando-based SeaWorld and its investors. As part of the agreement, SeaWorld did not admit any wrongdoing.

There is no firm reopening news to share about Busch Gardens Williamsburg, a spokesperson for the park said Friday.
The park has remained closed since the beginning of the pandemic in March. The park's calendar says it will be open on July 29, but the park spokesperson says the calendar's hours don't mean anything until a reopening date is announced.
"We continue to hear that the business community is struggling in a lot of areas from our hoteliers, some of restaurants, and other small businesses, and Busch Gardens itself, so we continue to be concerned about the closure of Busch Gardens," James City County Administrator Scott Stevens said.

Masks will be required at Holiday World and Splashin' Safari starting on Monday, July 27, according to a press release from the theme park.
The Santa Claus, Indiana attraction said the requirement follows Governor Eric Holcomb's statewide mask mandate for Indiana, which was issued on July 22.
Guests will be required to wear masks or face coverings when they enter the park and any time they go into an indoor space, like roller coaster stations, gift shops and restrooms.
Cedar Point is reducing its operating hours next month, and will be closed during the week starting in mid-August.
The move is likely due to low attendance numbers, according to industry experts. The park is also having difficulty hiring staff.
“Cedar Point is adjusting its operating hours to better align the park operation with the needs of our guests during the pandemic,” said park spokesman Tony Clark.
Three weeks after opening to limited crowds and a slew of COVID safety measures, Kings Island is dropping one of the most confusing aspects of this summer's operations: its advance reservation system.
