NORTH HUDSON, NY
Frontier Town is getting a boost from the state of New York. The former western theme park in the Adirondacks has seen about $25 million in public and private funding to re-purpose it into a camping and community area. Now, project organizers are celebrating the completion of the first phase.
The Wild West is back. Frontier Town -- but just a little bit different than the former western theme park.
"I'm just walking down and there are horses and what? I had no clue there would be horses here, so it was touching," said Randy Preston with the Essex County Board of Supervisors.
