Kings Island demolished part of its Coney Mall section of the park Tuesday to make way for the Kings Mills Antique Autos.
The amusement park filed building plans for the Antique Autos last week.
To make room for the Antique Autos, the park demolished the old Flight Commander ride pad which hadn't been used for years. Crews had to remove concrete that was more than 10 feet deep, according to KI spokesman Chad Showalter. They also got rid of the entrance to the former Dinosaurs Alive, the Peach Basket game in the Coney Mall Midway and an old concession stand.
