The United States located Six Flags Parks aren't the only ones getting in on the latest flurry of announcements. Six Flags south of the border location, Six Flags Mexico, has recently announced their plans for 2013. With this announcement they will take their coaster count up to eight and further bolster their spot as the park with the most coasters in Mexico.
The park recently announced that they will be welcoming The Joker for the 2013 season. This coaster will be a Gerstlauer spinning coaster. The ride won't be totally new, although it will be a new addition for the park. The Joker formerly resided at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, located in Vallejo, California, as Pandemonium. The coaster was built in California in 2008 and operated there until it was removed in early 2012 to make room for the construction of the park's new coaster, Superman Ultimate Flight.
In a statement posted on their website, and translated via Google Translate, Roberto Baez, Public Relations Manager of Six Flags Mexico said, "Six Flags is always innovating with world-class entertainment to our visitors and we are confident that this time will enjoy the uniqueness of the experience of THE JOKER. This game offers the combination of a popular DC Comics character theme with an exciting experience that children, youth and adults will want to try again and again."
The Joker will be a ride for the whole family as it spins to and fro while traveling through its layout. Its cars, which spin independent of the track, will travel to heights up to 53 feet and reach speeds of around 31 miles per hour according to rcdb.
Six Flags New Mexico expects The Joker to be ready for guests in spring of 2013.
