SAN DIEGO, CA
Nearly two weeks since making its public debut, SeaWorld’s latest coaster, Tidal Twister, is shut down, with no word on when it will reopen.
A first-of-its-kind ride designed for younger kids, Tidal Twister formally opened to the public May 24, but by last Saturday was shuttered, with no explanation at the time by the park. Signs on Tuesday showed that the ride was still down, as did the park’s website.
Responding to a request for comment, SeaWorld San Diego released a statement Tuesday stating that “Tidal Twister experienced an operational issue, for which we are working with the manufacturer to resolve so that we can get the ride back up and running as soon as possible. No one was injured. The safety of our guests and team members is our top priority.”
