Theme parks are famous for staying open through thick and thin. Often earthquakes don’t stop their Ferris wheels from turning and their decorations get fastened down during hurricanes so that the show can go on. However they have met their match in the coronavirus.
Parks around the world, which had previously only been closed for a matter of days, have been shuttered for more than a month to prevent the spread of the deadly disease. Their ornate iron gates are closed for the foreseeable future and it will take more than the wave of a magic wand to get them to swing open again.
