Over 200 people were here last Saturday rallying over the closing of Indiana Beach and now local leaders are responding. The question is can dozens of voices create an impact for what happens next.
"Something good can come from it,” said Monticello Mayor Cathy Gross.
Gross said hundreds expressing their admiration for the park could be beneficial.
President for the White County Commissioners John Heimlich co-signs and said people voicing their concerns may speak to potential buyers.
“It can't hurt,” said Heimlich. “It does show a potential buyer that there is a lot of interest. Not only locally but throughout the mid-west."
