COASTER-net's Code of Conduct
Vision/Mission Statement of the COASTER-net Community:
I am a member of the COASTER-net Community for the purpose of belonging to a united, peaceful, laid-back community centered around the discussion of thrill rides and parks. I agree to generally maintain a good sense of humor to the best of my ability, realizing my own faults before those of other members. I also agree to try putting the interests of other members above my own in all situations.
I will do my part to stay informed on the rules and guidelines that help maintain order, and to openly discuss ways to further the Community. If I fail to understand any part of the Code of Conduct, I will ask for clarification by sending a Personal Message to any Forum Admin or by contacting any of the COASTER-net Staff through our Staff page .

Rules/Guidelines for Posting to the COASTER-net Forums and All COASTER-net Pages
- I will not post anything malicious or illegal including but not limited to pornographic images or links, malicious code, viruses, Trojans, malware, spyware, etc. I understand that such behavior will result in immediate banishment and my being reported to the appropriate authorities
- I will always respect other and speak to them in a gracious, polite manner, even when delivering constructive criticism. I will never engage in trolling, flaming, or cyber-bullying of any kind, nor will I attempt to publicly shame or humiliate anyone. In addition I will never use vulgar, crude, or profane speech and that I will make all my conversations on COASTER-net's Forums and Pages "family-friendly." I understand that COASTER-net has the right to edit or delete posts which do not meet these standards.
- I will always post in English and will do so in a way which makes my posts easy to understand including, but not limited to, using correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation when I post. I also agree to keep my posts free of jargon, acronyms and internet shorthand that would make my posts difficult to understand if someone were using a program such as Google Translate to try to and translate my post into another language.
- I will not post any advertisements anywhere on the site other than in my forum signature. I will limit just advertisements to static images and text links which are compliant with the Code of Conduct.
- I will never post images or text with flashing or strobe effects, only static images and text in normal font-sizes and colors.
- I will never plagiarize or violate copyright law when posting to the COASTER-net Forums. I understand the best way to do this is to post my own thoughts, photos, videos, etc and not copy things that I have seen on other sites. When I do post something from another site I understand that I must give credit to the source and should provide a link to the original content. When quoting something someone else said on the COASTER-net Forums, I understand that I should use the "Quote" feature to preserve their exact words and give them credit for what they said.
