DelGrosso’s Amusement Park is a small family friendly park in Tipton, PA. In 2004 they did a full reboot of their coaster collection and replaced both of them. The bought a wacky worm and a wild mouse. They named the wild mouse Crazy Mouse, it was purchased from Reverchon and it is a spinning model. Crazy Mouse is a bit of a hybrid so to speak because the coaster itself was made by Reverchon, but the company was bought by Zamperla before it was delivered so they provided the control system.
Guests on the Crazy Mouse would load into the bright comical cars that seat four abreast in one row. The car is dispatched and it climbs the 42.7 foot tall lift hill. There are arched lighting fixtures that the cars pass under on their way to the top. At the top you pass a very large light up Crazy Mouse sign the spans the full width of the ride. The main feature of the ride are the tight switchback turns. The cars have their wheels set back so this gives the sensation that the cars are going to fall off the track. After the switchback turns the train hits a dip does two more tight turns and then a dive down to the middle level. The cars go through the next set of switchbacks, but the cars unlock and start to free spin. The spinning makes each ride unique as you can be facing any direction at any time. On the lowest level the ride has a set of bunny hops and finally the brake run. |
