DC Rivals HyperCoaster
Specific Type: Hyper Coaster
|
There is always a struggle between good and evil, against right and wrong. Now at Warner Brothers Movie World in Australia that struggle has been amplified. In the fall of 2017 they introduced their newest battlefield DC Rivals, a hypercoaster built by Mack rides. This coaster when it was introduced was the longest, tallest and fastest hyper coaster on the southern hemisphere. This hypercoaster is themed to the struggle within the DC comic universe, and features a new take on riding a hyper coaster. The last car in the train features back to back seating so the last row faces backwards giving riders a chaotic experience not knowing where they are going, but only where they have been. This experience is sure to be a must try for many enthusiasts, however this row is an upcharge attraction.
Guests enter the station and choose their row, once the train is locked and check it is dispatched around a slight right turn and up the 202 foot tall lift hill. As the train reaches the top of the hill an odd sight comes into view, a metal sculpture of the Joker’s head. This distraction has guests looking up but the train suddenly dives down. The train tumbles down the 85 degree main drop reaching speeds of up to 71.5 MPH as the track twist around to the right. The train skims the ground but only for an instant as the track send riders skywards in a massive airtime hill allowing riders to experience -1G for a full three seconds. The train hugs the ground and buzzes the queue line as the track threads between the supports. The train next climbs into a non-inverting loop twisting riders around before dumping them out and into a high overbanked turn. The track turns into a tangle as it cuts under and then over in a tilted air time hill. Then under and over again in a banked turn. The track does a serpentine between the track and supports as riders try to hold on for their lives. There is no reprieve as the train plunges into a 480 degree helix holding riders captive for seven seconds under the pressure of 4 Gs. The track continues to weave and bob as the train bounds over a series of four bunny hops before hitting the brake run. Just remember no rivalry can be complete without a sequel so get back in line. |
