1999 was a big year for Six Flags Great Adventure, they added over 25 new rides and attractions including three roller coasters. They added Medusa for extreme thrill seekers, it was later renamed and rethemed to Bizarro. For their youngest guests they added Road Runner Railways a coaster that many Great Adventure’s guests first roller coaster. Finally they added Blackbeard’s Lost Treasure Train a ride that could be enjoyed by families where adults and children could ride together. Blackbeard’s Lost Treasure Train was renamed to Harley Quinn Crazy Train in 2016 when the Joker was added in the plot next door as if the villains were starting to congregate in this park filled with superheroes. Harley Quinn Crazy Train was manufactured by Zierer and is a Tivoli Large Model creating a double figure eight.
The ride features a booster wheel lift that propels the train to the top of the 26.3 foot tall hill. The train glides down the hill banking gently. The train ascends and descends throughout its course alternating directions in figure eights. The train reaches speeds of 22 MPH and is sent through the circuit twice. Harley Quinn Crazy Train is a great ride for young kids and enjoyable for their parents too. So all aboard this crazy train. |
