Rainbow MagiclandLocation: Valmontone, Italy

Just outside of the famous streets of Rome, Italy, a heavily themed amusement park has decided to grow into a countrywide destination. From the grand opening in May 2011, Rainbow Magicland has shown it has what it takes to compete as a world-class amusement park.
Built with a cost of $400 Million, the park was opened with a magnitude of rides, including Shock: The Steam Machine, a Maurer Söhne launched X Car coaster that sends riders soaring through the skyline of the park, and Huntik 4D, an indoor shooting ride with no comparable experience around the world. The park has been a successful competitor to the nearby park Gardaland, which has long been considered one of the best parks on the European continent. The park hosts 35 themed attractions, most being aimed as a family experience none will forget, with a lineup of two water rides, three dark rides, and a diverse collection of five roller coasters. Entering through a port of call with magnificent buildings on both sides, guests to the park are transported from their regular lives into a world of thrills and entertainment. The park’s central lake serves to only magnify the size of Shock: The Steam Machine, which greets park goers immediately to the left once entering. To the right, the Rapids and Yucatan sit, both of which leave all riders cooled off and satisfied, even on the hottest of summer days. Neighboring the massive temple that houses Yucatan, Huntik 4Ds Egyptian building stands, and massive humanoid statues immerse the park’s guests in the atmosphere of the futuristic ride. At the far end of the park, Cagliostro and Olandese Volante provide unique thrills. The indoor light show of the spinning coaster Cagliostro makes it a ride experience that cannot and has not been reproduced anywhere around the world, and the massive stone spires of Olandese Volante make it a mine train ride that won’t have anyone forget it. The two rides are also accompanied by Mystika, a 230 foot tall drop ride that will leave you on the edge of your seat in suspense. These rides and many more help make Rainbow Magicland the amazing destination for thrill seekers and families that it has grown to be, and it’s a loss not to visit this one of a kind park during your tour of Italy. |
