Disney has found a new way to play, and this time you are playing the role of Andy’s toys. Andy might not be the star of the Toy Story movies, but he is the glue that united the characters we loved like they were our own toys. Slinky Dog Dash stars Andy’s toy Slink as the vehicle for the star of the new for 2018 Toy Story Land. Slinky Dog Dash gives you a toys’ eye view of Andy’s backyard as Slink gives you a thrilling ride around it’s circuit. The entrance to the queue area looks like A slinky dog’s toy box. Inside the queue guests are greeted by larger than life drawings by Andy of the play scene you are about to experience. Once you make your way to the station you are confronted by Slink himself, the entire roller coaster train looks like the toy not just a lead car.
Once you board the train it is dispatched, and it crawls out into the open and stops. The action begins after a countdown and the train, Slink, is launched up and around a banked turn. The train descends and then hops up into a bunny hill. The hill pops through a frame built out of blocks, with Jessie the cowgirl clinging to. Then Slink races through an upward helix passing colorful blocks and exiting through another block structure, complete with head chopper. Then the track sends you flying through another banked turn passing by more toys and scenery, like a stack of Jenga blocks with REX, the dinosaur standing on the top. Then Slink dives under a tunnel made of blocks and tinker toys, and Slink comes to a stop to take a breather. Then suddenly an countdown, and riders fly through a series of ring that say “GO!” for a second launch. The riders are sent over a large hill and into a banked turn leading the train through a 180. Slink bounds through a long series of bunny hops before diving back towards the ground and through a serpentine turn around more toys and blocks. The train coasts into the break run and you are greeted back to the station by many familiar toys. So if you want to ride, before you hop into the single rider line just remember, you have a friend in me. |
