In 1998 Six Flags Great America installed a ride that showed they were thinking of the future, far into the future. Spacely’s Sprocket Rockets is a Jetson’s themed Vekoma Junior Coaster model, and it has a 36” height requirement. This coaster is 27.9 feet tall and cruises around the 679.2 foot long circuit with a max speed of 21.7 MPH. This junior coaster filled a much needed niche for the park's youngest riders, as the last time the park had another junior coaster was 1976. The coaster has a curvy layout punctuated with dips and hops. After the train it boosted to the top of the lift it traverses a figure eight path. Then it veers away and completes a 360 circle before making its way back to the station.
