Germany for decades has become an European powerhouse of thrills and theming. Of which, Movie Park Germany is no different as it blends beautiful theming of media with modern thrills for all ages. However, when Movie Park Germany announced their new coaster for 2017, it was destined to bring the prowess of European theming and thrills into one single coaster. Star Trek: Operation Enterprise was the MACK coaster that brought a new era of thrills with cutting edge theming for all riders to experience when it opened in 2017. Do you dare to go where no man has gone before?
Star Trek: Operation Enterprise takes place in the Star Trek: The Next Generation era of the series. While walking up to the attraction, riders are greeted with immersive theming taking riders to Federation Plaza. As riders walk into the queue, they are greeted with the classic 80’s style Star Trek as the walls and thematics are reminiscent of the show’s aesthetics. Riders first are greeted with lit up signs that have the likenesses of various main characters within the show, Captain Picard and DATA just to name a few. Riders will then be mesmerized by the costumes of various characters, props and other bio’s on characters in the next room as they meander the queue. Riders then are taken into a holding area which is a Holodeck Portal for a room to discuss your mission to find missing crewmen. Riders will then be “beamed up” to the USS Enterprise Bridge where they realize the Borg have attacked the ship. After a small flight of stairs, riders will finally be able to sit down and ride Star Trek: Operation Enterprise. The coaster begins by moving your track to another launch bay which takes riders to the LSM Launch. However, riders only make it half-way up the hill, and are repelled back into the launch to be launched backwards into an 131 ft tall Vertical Spike. From there, riders are propelled at speeds up to 55.9 MPH into a 98 ft tall Top Hat that takes riders to another drop. Riders will then ascend into an Immelmann that serves to elevate the Heartline Roll that flares out into a steep drop. The drop flares out into an Over Banked Curve that takes riders through a building. Coming out of the building, riders will take on a double-down then another hill giving riders airtime before reaching an helix. This Helix will flare out into a Zero-G Roll and into the brake run into the station. Movie Park Germany has created some amazing thrills while immersing their guests into stories for all ages to see; so the next time you are in Europe, ride a new take on a classic show and take on Star Trek: Operation Enterprise. |
