Europe is known for high class coasters that give speed, force, and an ultimate thrill ride. Phantasialand in Germany was getting in on this action when they announced the addition of a new ride they called Taron. The park decided to call up Intamin and have them build a one of a kind multi-launch coaster that would be the fastest and longest multi-launch coaster in Europe. The coaster is themed around Norse mythology and features a unique “filled in” coaster track.
Taron uses LSMs to launch the coaster at speeds of over 100km/h not once but twice throughout the course layout. Riders experience plenty of airtime hills, s curves, pure speed sections and overbanked turns. The ground hugging Intamin coaster flows through artificial basalt landscaping and is a beauty on the midway. Taron is not a coaster you want to miss when travelling to Deutschland. |
