Swooping in to conqueror all other Dive coasters in the world is Valravn! Cedar Point has always been known for having the biggest, baddest roller coasters in the world! Since 1892 Cedar Point has had the most advanced roller coasters and thrill rides around.
At the close of the 2014 season Cedar Point announced it would removed the park's Good Time Theater. The Turnpike Cars were also removed from the park. The Calypso ride was relocated near Giant Wheel and renamed Tiki Twirl. Dodgem was moved near MaXair where it replaced some Kiddy Kingdom rides. With all of those things being removed and moved around speculation ran rapid. In Spetember 2015, Cedar Point announced it would build Valravn. Valravn is the worlds tallest, fastest and steepest Dive Roller Coaster in the world! Valravn is B&M's 100th roller coaster to be built to date! Valravn will beat 10 world records when it opens. Riders bored 8 across in Dive Coaster trains. The restraints on this coaster are very similar to the ones on Gatekeeper. The vest style restraints were first used on B&M's Flying style roller coaster. After the floor drops out of the station, the ride then turns 180 degrees to the left and heads up the lift. The ride goes up 223 feet where it turns to the right. After going straight the coaster inches toward drop where a chain grabs the chain and drags the train down the drop. The ride then stops. It stops for 4 seconds then plummets down 214 feet at a 90 degree angle! The ride then goes threw into a 165 degree Immelmann roll. This Immelmann roll is the world's second tallest loop! The ride then curves to the right up to the rides Block Break section. The ride then slows down and will inch towards a second drop! The second drop is a near vertical drop that goes 125 feet down! After dropping the ride quickly goes into a dive loop then immediately into a 270 degree roll! A quick airtime hill then send its riders into the final break run. |
