Specific Type: Tower Launch Coaster
|
Wicked at Lagoon Amusement Park is the first and only launch coaster at the park. On June 1, 2007 with a track length of 2050.5 feet , and a duration of 1:45, Wicked opened to the public. When it opened, it was the tallest coaster at the park with a height of 110 feet, and is still the second tallest behind Cannibal. With a top speed of 55mph and a G-Force of 4.8 it has the most force of any coaster at the park. It is located on the south midway near The Spider and Colossus right next to I-15. While driving on I-15 the green track and yellow supports of the tower make this coaster really stand out, and with the mountain background it can make for some very nice pictures on a trip. It is the only Tower Launch Coaster built by Zierer making it truly one of a kind.
The coaster will exit the loading station and turn left. The ride then launches you using one horizontal LSM and one vertical LSM out of a tunnel and up the vertical tower. At the top of the tower you will get some air time before falling down the 90 degree vertical drop. The ride will then make a banked left turn before going through a Zero-G roll. Next you make a left turn and into the midcourse brakes. You drop down after the brakes and go through left and right turns until you drop into a second tunnel. You come out of the tunnel and into the final brake run. |
