Woodstock's Express
Specific Type: Family Gravity Coaster
|
Woodstock’s Express is a unique addition to Dorney Park’s Camp Snoopy area. Six total Cedar Fair Parks have coasters that are named with the Woodstock Theme, three steel and three wood. However The Dorny version Woodstock actually owns, as in, Woodstock’s Express. The ride was added in 2000 when Planet Snoopy landed at Dorney Park. This ride filled a much needed niche for the youngest of roller coaster riders. This model is a Zamperla Family Gravity Coaster, but unlike other parks that operate this ride as a family coaster Dorney operates it as a kiddie coaster. You must be accompanied by a child to ride this ride. The layout is very simple the track is shaped like an oval with a helix in the center. The maximum height is 13 feet and is exciting yet gentle enough for families to ride with young children who may be riding their first coaster. The track length is only 262.5 feet long but riders are treated to two laps around the circuit.
