Disneyland expects that four hours will be enough time for most visitors to explore Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge during the initial reservation-only period and that scoundrels who overstay their welcome will be dealt with by a squadron of stormtroopers.
Disneyland will restrict visitors with free Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge reservations to a 4-hour time limit during an initial “soft opening” period of the highly anticipated new themed land at the Anaheim theme park. Star Wars fans hoping to explore Galaxy’s Edge between May 31 and June 23 will need to secure a reservation in order to get into the land. No reservations will be needed to enter Galaxy’s Edge beginning June 24. Disneyland will issue colored wristbands to visitors during the reservation-only period for each of the four-hour windows. Newly-admitted Galaxy’s Edge visitors will mix in with those already in the land much like the Halloween events at Disneyland. FULL STORY

MASON, OH
The six-month-long guessing game for coaster fans is almost over. Almost. Kings Island has filed official blueprints to start work on a new roller coaster, which has the code name "Project X" for now. WCPO obtained copies of the blueprints from the City of Mason, which must approve all work at the park. The plans were approved by the Mason Building Department on April 24, 2019, giving the park go-ahead to begin construction. But the plans only say "ride" (not coaster), and show only the foundation, footings, and steel needed to frame the base of the ride. FULL STORY SHAKOPEE, MN

The company that was to take over management of Playland wants to sit down with Westchester County lawmakers to give its side of the story. Standard Amusements is at odds with the administration of County Executive George Latimer and facing the possible end of its contract, which was signed in 2016 — two years before Latimer took office. Few things are more pure than a child at Six Flags Over Texas in the 1960s. When the park first opened in Arlington in 1961, it was the first glimpse of what would become a massive Texas brand. It started with six themed areas within the park, each one representing the countries that claimed sovereignty over Texas throughout the state's history.
