Hersheypark officials announced Friday that they are planning to reopen their gates to the 121-acre theme park, including roller coasters, water park, and zoo, after weeks of its regularly scheduled annual opening was delayed by the novel coronavirus. A petition is circulating to nix the face mask requirement for visitors to the Kings Island amusement park. The change.org petition, which has gathered more than 1,000 signatures, aims to get the attention of the Cedar Fair amusement park, which announced plans to reopen in July with new visitor guidelines. Among those guidelines is mandatory face masks for visitors and employees. "The heat and humidity alone will make this very difficult to do. Don't force your children to do this! The Walt Disney World Resort is gearing up for it’s official reopening next month. However, guests visiting from certain states need to be aware of the isolation period required if traveling to Florida from certain states. According to the Florida Covid-19 Response website, the Governor’s Actions Regarding Travel indicate that all individuals entering the state of Florida from the New York Tri-State Area (Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York) to isolate or quarantine for a period of 14 days from the time of entry into Florida or the duration of the individual’s presence in Florida, whichever is shorter.
