SIOUX FALLS, SD
A small park in South Dakota is trying to make a splash with a "major attraction" according to a letter from the park to the local planning board. Wild Water West is better known for its water park than thrill attractions. They do have a dry park, however at this time they do not own or operate and flat rides. They do have go carts, bumper boats, batting cages and paintball. The addition of any type of roller coaster would be a bold move to create a new segment to their business. The documents provided describe a ride that is a monorail and has matching dimensions to the prototype Raptor model installed at Six Flags Fiesta Texas and California's Great America. The planning documents also signal that the park would be able to install and operate the ride during their 2020 season that typically ends in September, but they are optimistic that a major attraction of this scale could extend their season.
