Dorney Park’s 95-year-old coaster is being recognized as an international landmark
When some people think of history, they think of old buildings and monuments, relics from the past that remind us where we came from. But others think of history as a 45-mph, head-throttling journey around a 95-year-old wooden track.
Luckily for the latter, Dorney Park’s ThunderHawk roller coaster is exactly that, which makes its new status as an International Roller Coaster Landmark fitting. The theme park announced on Tuesday that The American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE) voted to bestow that honor on the coaster.
