A proposed new Dorney Park ride has won the approval of the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission, although final approval will be up to South Whitehall Township.
The Lehigh Valley Planning Commission review found that the ride would be in a flood plain and should be built to withstand high waters.
The attraction would be 106 feet high, according to a public notice put out by the township earlier. Part of the Zephyr train ride would be relocated.
